My intention for this piece was to express the protagonist's sadness and their shattered mental state. Desaturated colours spirals and heart-rate lines symbolize hopelessness and lifelessness. The artwork's function was to foreshadow to viewers how the protagonist's shattered mental state will turn to restlessness, frustration and pent-up anger.

A Hindu deity influenced this piece: God Shiva, also called God of Destruction, who is said to have a third eye which will only open if he is fuming. Similarly, I painted three irregular eyes to represent a vengeful and angry force that has clouded the protagonist's mind. Also, I used impasto brushstrokes to describe to viewers the growing restlessness in the protagonist's mind.

“Twisted Games”

Stalin's dictatorial rule in 1948 London influences this piece. I portray a conversion camp which converts liberal people to servile individuals for the upper class. I intentionally curated this piece in the centre of my abstract paintings to make viewers question the theme due to its childish appeal and resemblance to Pacman, unlike the other pieces. I have still conveyed feelings of melancholy by changing the background's colours from saturated to desaturated.

This piece is essential to the protagonist's narrative, as it depicts how the protagonist's restlessness and troubled mind led them to release their frustration and pent-up anger in the form of war with their mind. I used rough textures and desaturated colours to depict the setting of a battlefield. Also, the imaginary dead bodies symbolize the protagonist's happy and joyful nature before the trauma and pain overwhelmed their mind.

 “Don’t Fear The Reaper”

I depict how the protagonist finally found peace through their death and happily living in the afterlife. I use vibrant colours and lack of textures to denote that the protagonist's struggles and pain are finally over.  A cartoon show called Ed, Edd n Eddy, which is based on kids living in the afterlife, influenced this piece. The show's creators portrayed the children having an ordinary childhood rather than being sad or unhappy because they were dead.
